The recently released 2014 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Faculty show that Australian management and social sciences faculties continue to perform well on the world stage in business fields of expertise.  These rankings complement findings in the QS World Rankings by Subject 2014.

In the assessed disciplines and out of the top ranked faculties in the world, Australian business schools represent:

  • Six out of the top 50 social sciences and management faculties.
  • Seven out of the top 50 business schools in accounting and finance.
  • Six out of the top 50 business schools in economics and econometrics.

For a country with a population less than one percent of the world population and approximately one third and one twelfth of the UK and US populations respectively, the rankings are a testament to the quality of the academic endeavour within Australia's business schools, ranking us among the world's best.

The QS World University Rankings by Faculty is an extension of the overall QS World University Rankings. The faculty rankings draw on indicators such as academic reputation, employer reputation and research citations to form an international ranking of higher education institutions.  Read more
